We
take the 30 min ferry trip from the V&A
Waterfront to Robben Island. An austere
prison where Nelson Mandela spent nearly two
decades of his life.
Your
tour guide will be a former political prisoner -
who'll give you stark insights into life on
South Africa's "Alcatraz". Later we take a more
lighthearted guided bus tour of this historic
island before returning to the ferry. Our trip
back offers the classic, panoramic view of Cape
Town with it's dramatic Table Mountain
backdrop.
